Health Evaluations

Your health evaluations at LFC have been designed to identify any existing health problems, assess your disease risk factors and provide you with the tools and recommendations to achieve a healthy and balanced lifestyle. LFC provides different levels of evaluations to suit your lifestyle and risk factors. Your health assessment will include a comprehensive range of tests.

Fees & Billing

Lotus Family Clinic is a mixed billing clinic, full payment is required at the end of your consultation. 


Please note that all new patients do incur a fee regardless of age and or concession status of which a Medicare rebate is available.


All consulting GP's at Lotus Family Clinic operate independently and bill at their own discretion. We accept payment for our fees via Cash, EFTPOS and Credit Card.


The list below is intended as a guide only. Fees can vary, based on the length of time taken for each consultation, the complexity and the determination of the individual doctor.


Theatre procedures, dressings and wound care, vaccinations, home and after-hours visits, and some other services can incur additional charges. Please ask a receptionist or your doctor for further information.


Non-Attendance Fee: If you fail to attend an appointment, or cancel without adequate notice, there will be a non-attendance fee charged starting from $75.00.


Employment Medicals, Driving  Medicals, Insurance Medicals will incur private fee as per practice fee structure.


TAC and work cover will incur private fees and will need to be paid on the same day of consultation.

GAP/Out-of-Pocket:

Certain procedures that require the use of our treatment room will incur additional out-of-pocket fees. For more information, please direct your enquiry to our reception team.


*Standard Medicare rebate. Once Extended Medicare Safety Net threshold has been reached, this amount can charge.

Claiming Your Medicare Rebate

The quickest and easiest way to claim is at the Doctor's Surgery, straight after you pay. This is done electronically, either instantly onto your EFTPOS card using a cheque or savings account, or via Medicare Online.


If using Medicare Online and you have registered your bank details with Medicare, the rebate will be deposited back into your bank account, usually within ten business days.


If you have not registered your bank details with Medicare they will send you a letter explaining you have a claim and need to register with them.


To register or update your bank details visit the Medicare website.


For certain services, we will charge Medicare under your name, and in these cases a cheque will be sent to you but is addressed to your GP. You will need to forward this cheque to our Practice at your earliest convenience.
